Reports and Findings
Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cell therapy has achieved remarkable success in B-cell malignancies, but its application in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and renal cell carcinoma (RCC) remains challenging due to the lack of ideal target antigens. CD70 is highly expressed on AML and RCC tumor cells, while its expression in normal tissues is largely restricted to activated lymphocytes, making it a promising immunotherapeutic target.
The aim of this study was to describe the associations of nutrition during pregnancy with childhood anthropometry among First Nations and non-First Nations women with hyperglycaemia in pregnancy.
In February 2025, Australia introduced maternal vaccination with bivalent respiratory syncytial virus prefusion F protein-based vaccine (RSVpreF) in the National Immunization Program for pregnant individuals from 28 weeks' gestation as the primary, year-round strategy to prevent RSV disease in infants 6 months of age or younger.
Following calls to formally recognize sensory differences in the autism diagnostic criteria, the DSM-5 introduced sensory features as a subdomain of restricted and repetitive behaviors. However, this categorization was developed based on expert consensus, rather than being empirically derived.
Type 1 diabetes may influence acute and adaptive responses to exercise training and performance. This systematic review aimed to summarize the evidence comparing exercise performance between individuals with and without T1D and to identify the physiological mechanisms underlying potential differences in exercise performance.
This study aimed to investigate associations between training load (TL) calculated using the OMNI rating of perceived exertion scale (OMNI-RPE) and heart rate (HR) and velocity-derived measures of TL in non-elite adolescent team sport athletes. Fifty-four athletes participated in the study. The study was separated into two parts.
Asthma affects millions worldwide. Long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) are emerging as important factors in the pathophysiology of asthma and respiratory illnesses. LncRNA serve important regulatory roles in numerous pathways, especially gene expression.
Childhood cancers are rare, but incidence has risen modestly in countries with robust registration, partly reflecting improved diagnosis. In high-income countries, cancer is the leading cause of disease-related death in children. Marked inequities in incidence, survival, and research capacity underscore the need for large-scale collaboration to identify environmental, genetic, and contextual determinants of risk.
The emergence of the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant in late 2021 led to widespread infection in Australian children, many unvaccinated. The breadth and magnitude of antibody responses to SARS-CoV-2 variant infections and vaccination in children remain incompletely understood. We aimed to estimate seroprevalence against SARS-CoV-2 spike (S) and nucleocapsid (N) antigens and explore antibody kinetics, focusing on Omicron subvariants.
To describe the frequency, burden, and pathogen profile of acute respiratory illnesses in very preterm infants during the first year after neonatal intensive care unit discharge.
