Abstract:
In summary, the The Australian and New Zealand Children’s Haematology/
Oncology Group Biobanking Network (ANZCHOG-BN) is a relatively new biobank network in Australasia that was developed with the goal of improving and streamlining access to high quality pediatric and adolescent/young adult cancer biospecimens for cancer research. Establishing this biobank network has been a learning experience, and we hope to share our experience with other emerging biobank networks. The ANZCHOG-BN will continue to expand its activities and to incorporate other emerging childhood cancer biobanks in collaborative efforts to accelerate progress in childhood cancer research and clinical outcomes for patients.
