https://www.linkedin.com/in/caitlin-symons-3353a917b/Caitlin is a Project Officer for the END RHD Program where she coordinates multiple research projects with a focus on skin health and infectious diseases. In collaboration with The Peter Doherty Institute, she coordinates the SNAP-PY (Staphylococcus aureus Network Adaptive Platform – Paediatrics and Youth) trial, which recruits participants with Staph aureus bloodstream infections at multiple sites around Australia and internationally.
Caitlin has experience working in Early Phase, Healthy Participant Clinical Trials, and Phase 2 and 3 Patient Trials. Prior to joining the institute, Caitlin studied in Basel, Switzerland, where she learnt to speak German, and continued her studies at the University of Western Australia, where she obtained a Bachelor of Biomedical Science, majoring in Pharmacology and German. Caitlin is passionate about community and consumer involvement, and improving outcomes for patients affected by infectious diseases.
