LCC Flagship in Educational Equity. Using integrated administrative data to improve educational equity over the life course. UWA component - Evaluation of the Adult Migrant English Program

This project seeks to better understand the broader impacts of the AMEP on migrant outcomes.

Investigators: Francis Mitrou, Ha Nguyen

External collaborators: Professor Mark Western (University of Queensland), Wojtek Tomaszewski (University of Queensland)

This project seeks to better understand the broader impacts of the AMEP on migrant outcomes. It will assess which migrants enrol in the program, whether their employment prospects are improved, whether their income support profiles are altered, and whether the program exhibits dose effects. The findings of the project will be used by Home Affairs to enhance the quality and effectiveness of the AMEP program, in order to increase learner engagement and therefore improve migrant outcomes.
