A remarkable The Kids Research Institute Australia leader will join a cohort of 25 STEM-qualified women across Australia to take part in the prestigious 2024 Women in Leadership Development (WILD) program.
The WILD Program is a national leadership program created to advance the careers of women in STEM and elevate their leadership journey.
Dr Clare Berry, an Executive Projects Manager with the Office of the Executive is a long-time advocate for diversity in leadership and is extremely passionate about increasing the number of neurodiverse women in leadership roles.
“My unique perspective as an autistic individual provides me with an unconventional approach to thinking, problem-solving, and overcoming obstacles,” Dr Berry said.
“This perspective has the potential to infuse leadership roles within the STEM sector with fresh insights, creative solutions, and a culture of innovation.”
In addition to gaining practical, actionable experience, the WILD Program offers participants the opportunity to receive their AICD Company Directors Course qualification alongside a cohort of diverse and driven STEM peers.
The Kids Research Institute Australia Director of Research Professor Catherine Elliott congratulated Dr Berry and said the Institute was proud to highlight her success as a leader.
“At The Kids our commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in STEM extends to empowering every individual, and we proudly support Dr Berry on her journey to develop her leadership skills in this national program,” Professor Elliott said.
The current WILD Program is supported by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet and Brandon BioCatalyst.
