Emma is an Research Assistant aiming to characterise the diversity and associated anti-microbial susceptibility profile of Strep A in the Kimberley, Western Australia (WA). The objective of this project is to provide information that can be used to help inform control and mitigation programs as well as advance vaccine development, to drive down the burden of Strep A mediated disease.
Emma holds a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from the University of Notre Dame and is completing her honours year with the University of Western Australia. Throughout her undergraduate years, Emma has volunteered as a mentor for Aboriginal children living in remote communities across the Kimberley, Northern Territory and Mid-West region of WA. Emma is passionate about research translation to support remote living children to thrive in all aspects of their life.
