Sos is an accomplished health informatics, program design and management expert, coupled with a wealth of experience in technical leadership, data management, analysis, monitoring, evaluation, and learning, capacity building/strengthening, among other areas. Over the course of his career, he has worked with a range of national and international organisations, providing invaluable support in designing, developing, planning, implementing, managing, and monitoring projects. Sos holds a master’s degree in Biostatistics from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
Sos’s journey began at IHI in the early 2000s, where he headed the Statistics and Data Management Unit, thereafter, held a range of positions and roles including a Biostatistician at the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health, Baltimore, USA; Health Informatics Technical Advisor at FHI360, Washington DC, USA; and the Deputy Director of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning, APHFTA, Tanzania. He also served as a consultant (Project Technical Lead) at the Health Nutrition & Population Group, World Bank, Washington DC, USA.
