Lengsea Eng
Student
Lengsea is a PhD candidate at Curtin University. Her project is about the epidemiology of Clostridioides difficile infection in Cambodia, under the supervision of Dr. Kefyalew Addis Alene and Prof. Thomas V. Riley.
Lengsea believes her project's results would contribute to controlling C. difficile infection in Cambodia, which is unnoticeably circulating in healthcare and community settings. Also, these results would provide insights into an effective treatment guide for this infection based on local conditions.
She has a background as a pharmacist trained in microbiology and has worked in biomedical sciences, basically microbiology, before returning to her current PhD academic degree. Earlier, Lengsea graduated with a master’s degree in infectious diseases, 2016-2017, from the University of Western Australia, with support from Australia Award Scholarships Cambodia.
